For transgender Canadians voting can be difficult to navigate. Between the new identity legislation put in by the Harper government and the difficulty of determining which candidates have your best interests at heart, this site aims at providing an ever-growing collection of resources to help you vote. Now more than ever it’s important that transgender citizens be able to exercise their vote.
We want you to be able to vote when you reach the polling station. We will accumulate information here on getting your ID situation worked out and getting your voter registration updated. Where that is not possible we will inquire on possible alternatives with Elections Canada.
We want you to make informed decisions about your rights and the rights of other marginalized people. To that end we hope to provide information on tangential issues such as intersex rights and the rights of indigenous people.
We are now a collaborative effort with TransVoteCA who have provided much of the newer content.
